In appreciation and recognition of the volunteers' exceptional service, support and commitment to the Hospital's mission, St. John West Shore Hospital has established a Volunteer Service Award. This award is bestowed each quarter to a deserving volunteer that provides exceptional service.

Volunteer Nominee Name: Jack Hall

Jack was nominated by numerous fellow volunteers from the Gift Shop, Transport and Information Desk. Jack has showed his dedication to the Hospital for many years and lead by example. His fellow volunteers nominated him for carrying the following characteristics:

  • Compassion: Jack is always so kind to all of the gift shop volunteers. He frequently substitutes at the Information Desk and he goes the extra mile to help visitors.
  • Dedication: He is always there for us! Jack gets the gift shop accounts balanced every Tuesday.
  • Respect:  He shows the utmost respect for employees, volunteers, visitors and patients
  • Collaboration/Teamwork: Jack has always been a team player. He works for the good of everyone
  • Commitment to Excellence: He is a perfectionist, and always tries to make the job easy for everyone.

Not only does Jack showcase the core values of St. John Medical Center, but his colleagues say Jack is fun to be around, he makes everyone feel comfortable and He plans great trips, too!
