St. John Medical Center Auxiliary

The St. John Medical Center Auxiliary was organized in 1981 to further promote the Catholic Mission of the hospital and patient care excellence. Auxiliary members serve as a vital link between the hospital and the community. Generously giving of their time, talents and energies, Auxiliary members provide needed support to patients, their families and community members.

Auxiliary activities provide members with a wide range of opportunities for spiritual growth, sharing of talents and taking time to truly make a difference in the lives of others. These opportunities include performing in-service volunteer work in areas such as the gift shop or at the information desk as well as assisting in the organization of special events. There are many benefits that are associated with being an Auxiliary member — the joy of membership participation, fellowship, helping others and serving the hospital to better meet community needs.

Each year, the Auxiliary donates net proceeds from many of its special events back to the hospital. These monies are used for fulfill many different needs such as the purchasing of medical equipment or continuing the life and works of a service offered. Since 1981, the Auxiliary has donated more than 1 Million Dollars to the hospital… and that tradition continues today.
