Living Well with Diabetes

We offer one-on-one and group education to help patients and their families acquire the knowledge, skills and tools necessary to support healthy self care. Individual appointments are available for training on insulin administration, blood glucose monitoring, meal planning, weight management and problem solving.

Diabetes Class Schedule

Physician referral required. Call for individual or group classes.

Class topics include:

  • Understanding what diabetes is and how it is diagnosed
  • Making healthy food choices and meal planning
  • Safely incorporating physical activity to improve blood sugar control
  • Blood sugar monitoring, what causes blood sugars to rise and fall, and how to manage fluctuations
  • Protecting eyes, heart, blood vessels, nerves, kidneys and feet

Charges for individualized or group classes are generally billed to insurance providers.

Basic Diabetes Skills Series

Do you have diabetes, but lack insurance coverage for diabetes education?

If you answered yes, you may be a candidate for our Basic Diabetes Skills Class series. This allows all who wish to learn more an affordable way to gain basic, but important “survival-level” information for pre-diabetes, diabetes self-care, or as a review.
