To Delegate or Not to Delegate

The objectives of the program are:

  • Define delegation and its use by nurses
  • Describe the five rights of delegation

The presentation begins by identifying the scope of practice for RN and LPN and then defines delegation using examples for illustration. St. John Medical Center (OLN-002-P) is approved as a provider of continuing education by the Ohio Board of Nursing through the approver unit at the Ohio League for Nursing (OBN-006-92) and provider unit status is valid through October, 2014. This program meets the requirement that Ohio licensed nurses and certificate holders complete at least one contact hour of approved continuing education directly related to the law and rules pertaining to the practice of nursing in Ohio.
