With the publication of the St. John West Shore (SJWS) Hospital Event Calendar, community members can participate in free blood pressure and cholesterol tests, health talks, clinics as well as child birthing education classes.
In addition to being available online, the calendar can be mailed by contacting the Hospital's marketing and public relations department at 440-827-5002.
"The Event Calendar provides the community with the chance to gain knowledge on health issues and available services that they may not otherwise have the opportunity to take advantage of," said Cliff J. Coker, President of St. John Medical Center. "We will to offer these services year after year because of our strong commitment to health and wellness."
The Event Calendar features information on how to attend and register for free CEU programs, wellness programs including screenings and immunizations, physician talks, health talks, HeartSource Clinics, childbirth education and programs, women’s services and STEP parenting programs, support groups, community education and the diabetes education program. It also includes community information as well as features new St. John Medical Center physicians. Many of these programs are free, or a small fee is required.
The Event Calendar is published by the Hospital’s Community Outreach Department and is available twice a year. For more information on community health events, call 440-827-5440.
