Cleveland, OH – The Lake Erie Monsters have announced that St. John Medical Center, the Monsters' official hospital, and Orthopaedic Associates Inc., the official team physicians, have joined together to become the franchise's official healthcare team.
St. John Medical Center and Orthopaedic Associates will receive two in-ice logos at Quicken Loans Arena and joint television and radio spots throughout the season. They will also be the team’s presenting partners for two of the Monster’s youth hockey programs, the Coaches Workshops and the Cleveland High School Hockey Series. This is the second year the hockey series, which features some of Cleveland’s best high school hockey teams and most recognized rivalries, has been hosted at The Q.
“We are thrilled to have this unique partnership with two of the most progressive medical entities in Cleveland,” said Randy Domain, Lake Erie Monsters senior vice president and chief operating officer. “Having St. John West Shore and Orthopaedic Associates as the Monsters’ official healthcare team will be invaluable. In addition, we are pleased to have them present our youth hockey programs, starting this Saturday with our annual High School Hockey Series.”
"We are extremely proud of our association with the Lake Erie Monsters," says Cliff J. Coker, president, St. John Medical Center. "We look forward to growing with the team and continuing to promote healthy and active lifestyles to our youth."
“Orthopaedic Associates has been providing sports coverage for eight high schools on the west side of Cleveland for many years, but we are especially excited about expanding our sports coverage to Cleveland’s new professional hockey team – the Lake Erie Monsters and being named the official team physicians,” says Allan Fentner, practice administrator, Orthopaedic Associates.

Long recognized as a leader in healthcare on Cleveland's West side, the 248-bed facility offers a $10 million improvement in the Emergency Department and was recently recognized as having the only fully accredited Chest Pain Center in Northeastern Ohio.
