Benefits at St. John Medical Center

All Full-time (32 + hours per week) and Part-time (20 hours per week) employees are eligible to participate in St. John Medical Center’s generous benefit package. These benefits include:

Health Insurance through Anthem Blue Access PPO:

This four-tiered health plan offers 100 percent coverage for services provided at St. John Medical Center. $20 co-pays apply for in-network physician office visits and $30 co-pays for in-network visits for a specialist. Prescription drug coverage provided through Caremark.

A choice from two Dental Plans:

Dencap Plan - Services must be provided by Saint Luke’s Dental Associates.
CIGNA  PPO – Coverage available for both in and out of network providers.

Vision benefits through EyeMed:

The EyeMed Vision Plan provides for routine eye examinations ($10 co-pay) and great savings on eyewear and contact lenses. The EyeMed SELECT Network offers a choice of hundreds of providers in locations throughout the area.

Basic Life Insurance (for all full-time employees):

Basic benefit is equal to your annual salary (rounded to the next $1,000); this benefit is provided free of charge.*

Accidental Death & Dismemberment:

Basic benefit is equal to annual salary (rounded to the next $1,000); this benefit is provided of charge*.   The plan pays up to the full coverage amount in the event of severe injury or death in an accident.

Supplemental Term Life Insurance (for all full-time employees):

Employees may purchase additional amounts of Life Insurance coverage equal to one, two or three times their annual salary for increased financial protection.

Supplemental Term Life Insurance (available to part-time employees):

Part-time employees may purchase $15,000 in Life Insurance/Accidental Death & Dismemberment coverage.

Dependent Life Insurance:

Employees may also purchase life insurance for their spouse and /or dependent children.

Short Term Disability (for full-time employees):

Short term disability is provided at no cost after one year of service. This benefit provides partial income replacement of 60% for up to five months.

Long-Term Disability (for full-time employees):

The LTD benefit can provide partial income replacement up to 60% of base pay – after a waiting period of five months.

Flexible Spending Accounts

A Flexible Spending Account allows you to set aside pre-tax dollars to pay for out-of-pocket expenses.

Employees may contribute to either or both plans. The Flexible Spending Accounts are managed through Ceridian.

Saving through the 401(k) Plan is easy. Automatic payroll deductions make saving effortless. There are loan and hardship withdrawal provisions in case you need access to your money in an emergency.

Tuition Reimbursement

Full-time and Part-time employees are eligible for tuition reimbursement after one year of service. *Service requirement waived if employee is in a nursing program.
