The Family Birthing Suites at St. John West Shore Hospital provide a warm, caring environment with excellent nurse-to-patient ratios to make your childbirth experience both memorable and personal. Our experienced, competent and caring staff of physicians, certified nurse midwives, obstetrical, newborn and Level II nursery nurses are available to create a wonderful birth experience for you and your family.
Our labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum suites allow you the comfort to labor, deliver, recover and bond with your baby in one room. Each room is equipped with a shower and bidet bath. For labor pain management, we offer 3 birthing rooms with Jacuzzis. If you choose to have an epidural, our anesthesia service is available around the clock.
Our midwifery service offers water immersion birth in a large and comfortable portable birthing tub. Our midwives can guide you in alternative labor management such as doulas and imagery.
The newly built, state of the art, Level II nursery is supported by board certified neonatologists from University Rainbow, Babies and Children ’s Hospital in Cleveland.
