This department deals with the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of diseases affecting the internal organs of the body, especially in adults.
The Laboratory at St John Medical Center is fully accredited by the College of American Pathologist, Joint Commission and CLIA. We offer a full complement of phlebotomy (blood draw) and laboratory testing.
- Our location is in the newly remodeled west lobby entrance and our hours of operation are; Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and on Saturdays from 7:00am to 1:00 pm.
When you arrive for testing, you will sign in at the main lobby desk at our automated kiosk. Our Registration Staff will call you into a private area so they can enter your information into our electronic medical record. Then, you will be called to the Phlebotomy (Blood Draw) area for testing. Appointments are not necessary for most routine testing; but please allow 30 minutes to one hour to verify orders, insurance coverage and specimen collection. If your physician asked that you be fasting, then you should have nothing to eat 8-12 hours prior to you blood being drawn (a small glass of water is allowed if you need to take daily medications). Please wear clothing with loose fitting sleeves. Please bring any orders or instructions, insurance information and a photo ID with you. All results will be delivered to your physician within 24 hours for most tests.

Occupational Therapy is a medical specialty designed to help people perform everyday activities in daily life – at home, at work and out in the community – whether it’s shopping, enjoying their family and friends, recreational activities, volunteering.

The Occupational Therapy Staff includes a certified hand therapist, a certified work conditioning evaluator and a certified Lymphedema specialist. These are specialized credentials that are not found in every clinic. We also have staff certified in rehabilitation for patients with cancer through the Survivorship Training and Rehab (STAR) Program. What is Physical Therapy?
Physical Therapy is a medical specialty designed to evaluate and treat disorders of the
musculoskeletal system. The ultimate goal of physical therapy is to restore maximal functional independence to help people perform everyday activities in daily life – at home, at work and out in the community – whether it’s shopping, enjoying their family and friends, recreational activities, volunteering.
Physical Therapy promotes the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. Physical Therapists use a variety of therapeutic techniques to accomplish this.

The Physical Therapy Staff includes a board certified neurologic specialist, vestibular specialists, concussion specialists and a spine specialist. All therapists are skilled in spine and joint rehabilitation for both post operative and non-operative patients as well as rehabilitation of neurologically involved patients. We also have staff certified in rehabilitation for patients with cancer through the Survivorship Training and Rehab (STAR) Program. Primary Stroke Center
Provides a timely response and follow national standards, resulting in superior medical outcomes for stroke care.
This department provides treatment and therapy for patients with respiratory diseases and provides services for patients that need ventilatory support, both invasive and noninvasive.
Where patients need to go for X-rays, CT scans, ultrasound, MRIs, and mammographies.
Pediatrics Emergency Services
Our Pediatric Emergency Services, treats children and adolescents with minor ailments/injuries. This program is affiliated with Rainbow
Babies and Children's Hospital. Service billed as an emergency room visit. Hours are - weekdays from
6pm - 11pm; weekends and holidays from 3pm - 11pm.
The Department of Speech and Audiology serves the needs of the individual from initial evaluation through the rehabilitation process, providing speech, language, swallowing and hearing services to people of all ages. The Advanced Wound Care Center at St. John Medical Center
The new Advanced Wound Care Center at St. John Medical Center is now open to patients suffering from chronic, non-healing wounds. Our team of specialists can provide a full assessment and multiple treatment options for a wound that has not healed after eight weeks or has not improved after four weeks.
