2006 Festival of the Arts: A Masterpiece

Plans underway for 2007 event

This year’s St. John West Shore Hospital Festival of the Arts Patron Benefit and weekend activities were the best ever. The weekend kicked off with the annual Patron Benefit fundraiser that was held on Friday, July 7. A beautiful evening greeted more than 700 patrons who attended an outstanding evening that saluted our 25th silver anniversary. Net proceeds of $95,000 are expected and will be equally divided between the SJWS Community Outreach programs and the hospital’s 12 EKG Lead Initiative. The weekend that followed the Patron Benefit was filled with first-rate artwork, food, music and activities that satisfied the more than 30,000 who attended the 3-day event. Thanks to the Friday night Patron Benefit Chairs Nancy Arthrell, Carol Sterba, Sister Judy Weirick, IHM, Patrick Garmone and Eileen Hayes as well as Ardis Radak who coordinated the weekend activities. Next year will mark the Festival of the Arts 15th anniversary! The 2007 Festival of the Arts will be held on July 13, 14 and 15.
